ANT'S AIRPLANES
AIRPLANES > FREEWARE AND DEMOS
On this page you can find information about the freeware and demo payware aircraft available. Aircraft are listed in order from latest release to earliest release. All payware aircraft have a demo version available so you can see how well the aircraft will perform on your system. All but one of the demo versions are unlimited. You can fly these without any restrictions for as long as you like. The Eaglet and Drifter demos consist the floats models only. The T-28 demo is the T-28A model only. The Sierra demo is limited by having the propeller not rotate.

Each installer (except the original Tiger Moth) includes versions for FSX and Prepar3D. It is strongly recommended that before purchasing any of the payware aircraft that you test the demo version out first. This is particularly recommended if you plan to use the aircraft in Prepar3D.

AIRPLANES > DE HAVILLAND DH82 TIGER MOTH PRO for FSX and P3D version 1.21. Freeware and demo
Download: www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsTigerMothProDemo.zip (114MB)

This is a completely new version of Ant's Airplanes first aircraft, the iconic Tiger Moth. The Tiger Moth Pro is available as a fully featured payware aircraft but the demo/freeware aircraft is available to fly with the following restrictions:

- Many of the customisation options in the Pilot's Handbook - Animations and Preferences sections are not available. These will be noted with an asterisk (*) next to the option.
- Pilot and passenger models will always be visible
- Airspeed and altimeter are not customisable. MPH airspeed and simple MkXIII Height gauge only
- No engine wear, oil consumption or damage modelling
- Only two repaints
- No Physics Based Rendering model and textures for P3D 4.4+ (no A2A rain effects either)

Apart from these limitations the demo is exactly like the full version and should provide a good representation of the performance and framerates you would get from the full version.

Visit the Tiger Moth Pro page for more information.

AIRPLANES > CAC WINJEEL for FSX and P3D. Freeware and demo
Download: www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsWinjeelDemo.zip (86MB)

The Winjeel was the Royal Australian Air Force's primary piston trainer from 1955 to 1975. The Winjeel replaced the Tiger Moth and Wackett aircraft and was itself replaced by the NZAI CT-4 Airtrainer. The Winjeel is a two-three seat, low wing, fixed undercarriage tail dragger. Construction is all metal with fabric covered control surfaces. Power is provided by a 450hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp Junior nine cylinder radial engine driving a two bladed Hamilton Standard variable pitch propeller. The demo is of the FAC vintage model with inoperative altimeter, vertical speed and airspeed indicators. All other functions work. Does not include Physics Based Rendering model and textures for P3D 4.4+

Visit the Winjeel page for more information.

AIRPLANES > EAGLET LSA FLOATS VERSION (SEASKY) for FSX and P3D. Freeware and demo
Download: www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsEagletDEMO.zip (71MB)

The Eaglet light sport aircraft is a small high wing, all metal 2 seater powered by a Rotax 912 engine. There are two different panel versions available. One with normal analog style gauges and the other with an Electronic Flight Instrumentation System (EFIS). This is an unlimited demo of the floats version of the Eaglet.

Visit the Eaglet LSA page for more information.

AIRPLANES > SIERRA LSA DEMO for FSX and P3D. Demo
Download: www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsSierraDEMO.zip (31MB)

The Sierra is a sleek lightweight 2 seater modern aircraft constructed in Italy from aluminium sheeting over a steel frame. The aircraft uses the 100hp Rotax 912 engine. This demo version allows you to test how well the aircraft will run on your system. In this demo version the airspeed, altimeter and CDI are inoperative and there is only one repaint (all white). It also does not include the RXP version.

Visit the Sierra LSA page for more information.

AIRPLANES > NORTH AMERICAN T-28A TROJAN for FSX and P3D. Donationware and demo
Download: www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsT28A.zip (189MB)

The T-28A Trojan was a trainer aircraft for the US Air Force introduced during the 1950's. Fitted with a 800hp 7 cylinder Wright Cyclone engine it is not as fast as the latter variants which had 1425hp 9 cylinder engines. Includes guns, rockets and bombs weapons system.

This aircraft also serves as a demo of the T-28B/C and T-28D payware aircraft. Visit the T28 Trojan page for more information and a comparison of the differences between the A,B,C and D models.

AIRPLANES > AA12 SWAMP WALLABY for FSX and P3D. Freeware
Download: www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsSwampWallabyV110.exe (17MB)

This is a fictional personal jet aircraft that I thought would be fun to make. It features custom made gauges including a working FMC (using the FSX database). Top speed is around the same as a Boeing 737.

No support can be offered for this aircraft beyond that provided in the Pilot's Handbook. It is released as is. A paintkit is included in the download.

The new version 1.10 (released Apr 2014) fixes a few bugs and adds P3D compatibility. The P3D version includes a demonstration of the new ground radar introduced with P3D V2.2.

AIRPLANES > DE HAVILLAND DH82 TIGER MOTH for FSX only. Freeware
Download : www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsTigerMothV110.zip (71MB)

This airplane was the first ever Ant's Airplane and has now been superceded by the Tiger Moth Pro.

The iconic Tiger Moth is now available as an FSX SP2 native model with fancy 3D gauges, bump and spec mapping and original sounds by Don Putnam. This is a modern representation of the aircraft so it features a few items you wouldn't find on the original aircraft.

A paintkit for the Tiger Moth is available at the download link www.antsairplanes.com/downloads/AntsTigerMothPKV110.zip (53MB)
